unlocked phone from australia - will it work here?

I'm thinking of buying a phone (nokia 6233) from australia, it's unlocked to all networks but i'm just wondering if that means it will work over here as well?

    Also if the phone does work, you'll also need to consider buying a charger with a UK plug, or a travel adaptor that converts from australian to UK.
