I ordered a pair of Ugg boots on 16th Feb, and am still waiting - I have e-mailed them on about 10 occasions and called them about 5 times, and each time they say the warehouse delays were over and deliveries would be sorted in the next few days!! That was 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting for the boots! I have been told that I can't get a refund from them until they receive the boots back - but I can't send the boots back until they arrive!! I have been told to refuse the package when its delivered and ask the courier to return to sender, and then I will get a refund - BUT I can't refuse the package because it still hasn't been delivered!! I got the dispatch e-mail yesterday and my order now says complete on their website, but when I contacted the delivery company, the tracking number I was given by Shudoo isn't correct and they have no record of my parcel.
Again I called them and they say the warehouse is run by a different company and they can't recall orders once they've gone through.
I am now going to make a claim on my credit card - I have had to buy another pair of boots from the Ugg Store, as they were my daughters birthday present, and she didn't get a present on her birthday, so neither she nor I are very happy.
:mad:Whatever you do - DON'T BUY FROM SHUDOO - customer service is awful and they steal money:mad:!!!
Have a read of the thread entitled READ ME FIRST PLEASE.

There is a section on Distance Selling Regulations where you will find that you can cancel before the item is delivered.
In this case the seller must refund all monies paid, including delivery, and it is ok for you to refuse delivery if the things turn up at your door.

Thanks, but although I know I am entitled to a refund, they are refusing point blank to refund me until the boots arrive and I have refused the package. Then I have to wait for them to be returned to Shudoo, before they will process the credit to my credit card. They are saying the warehouse is run by another company, and not Shudoo, so once the order has gone through, they can't cancel it, which I really can't believe!! I have sent them a copy of the booklet about Distance selling regulations and threatened reporting them to the Office of Fair Trading but I am still waiting for a response!! I really don't know what to do next!!

My husband has just spoken to our credit card company who knew Shudoo before he had even told him who it was!!! They are dodgy!! Do not use!!! Lots of problems!!
Maybe a Moneysaving Expert tip needs to be posted on the weekly e-mail for people to avoid them like the plague!!
They say we have to leave it for 5 days and then they will investigate and get our money back!!
  • I have also had the same problem with Shudoo. Ordered some Uggs on 15th February and they took the money straight away, however the boots have still not arrived.
I have had all the stories from them about warehouse and system problems and have been tolg again and again that they will be dispatched in a few days but nothing.

Shudoo have now turned there phonelines off (claiming a technical error with the line) and I believe there is more going on than they are saying.

I am going to raise a claim with my bank to try and get my money back. I will never purchase from this Company again. MSE needs to stop advertising their 20% off codes which is leading more and more people to purchase from the site.

I returned 2 pairs of boots to shudoo on the 11th of february to the value of £139.50, i paid over £7 to return them by parcel post. I am still awaiting for my refund. I have emailed thm on numerous occasions, they told me to scan my proof of postage which i have done and now they are totally ignoring my emails! When you call their telephone number it says they have a technical fault with the line. How very convenient, personally i think they have turned the line off as their are so many people complaining. The level of customer service is atrocious. This company is definatly a case for watchdog to investigate on television. First time i have used them, NEVER AGAIN !!!

Clearly it is time you wrote a letter.
Make it a letter before action.

Have a read of the thread entitled READ ME FIRST PLEASE.

You will find a sample LBA there, as well as other useful stuff... like what to do when they ignore the LBA.

I have just had a letter from my credit card company saying they have refunded my money. I too have e-mailed the Manager on 4 occasions sending him the tracking number for my return parcel giving him the opportunity to refund me but he has ignored my e-mails.
Get hold of your credit card company or bank immediately and ask them to take up the case on your behalf! It worked for me! Good luck!
  • I ordered a pair of boots from shudoo exactly 3 weeks ago. About a week ago I checked the status of the order and it said processing.

I emailed them and they replied saying it will be with me in the enxt few days and they are having problems with their warehouse and I cannot cancel the order and get a refund.

I have checked again today and it still says order processing. Not even dispatched.

Am I entitled to my money back before they are dispached? Do they have to deliver the good within a certain amount of time?

Thanks[ Hi, i bought a pair of boots for my daughter on the 5th feb...they took over a week to arrive and when they did the boot was WAY smaller than the size it should have been ( childs 10) would have fit a baby!!! so sent them back 1st class recorded delivery which they signed for the next day. Still no refund!! phoned lots and keep getting told its being proccessed or some other rubbish...usually the warehouse is moving :( and now the line just says there is tec difficulties, can they do this...just ignore u and not cough up????

Am I entitled to my money back before they are dispached?
On page 22 of the OFT's guide to the Distance Selling Regulations it says...
Can a consumer cancel an order before they receive the goods or where goods are lost in transit?
3.35 Yes. Where the DSRs give consumers rights to cancel, this right is unconditional. If consumers cancel before they have received the goods you must refund the total price of the goods, including any delivery charges. Consumers who have cancelled under the DSRs may refuse to accept delivery of the goods. Refusal in such a situation cannot be treated as a breach of contract.

    And on page 25...
When do I have to refund a consumer’s money if they cancel an order?
3.46 As soon as possible after the consumer cancels, and in any case within 30 days at the latest. You must refund the consumer’s money even if you have not yet collected the goods or had them returned to you by the consumer. You cannot insist on the goods being received by you before you make a refund. See also paragraph 3.64.
  • DO NOT BUY FROM SHUDOO! Worst company I've ever had the displeasure in dealing with! Firstly boots took 2 weeks to arrive which meant they arrived when I was away. I looked at the returns label when I arrived back (as the boots were too small) which said I had 28 days to return them. I ordered another pair in the larger size and returned the others a few days later. 2 weeks later my new ones still hadnt arrive so I'll called and was also told there was warehouse problems.
I then mentioned I had returned my other and was told very rudely that I was not getting my money back as I used a discount code which means I can only return the boots within 7 days! I obviously was extremly annoyed as the returns label did not say this whatso ever it said 28 days! Luckily I had a copy of the returns label so threatened them with trading standards so they agreed (after a lot of arguing) to refund me when the item was tracked in.

Well the item was recieved by them 28 days ago on Monday and I still have no refund and they have ignored all 4 emails I have sent and they phones are now ringing a dead line as oppose to the 'problems with their lines' message it was giving for the last 2 weeks.

I am absolutly fuming about this as they owe me just short of £150. I have the feeling Shudoo have actually gone into recievership and just arnt telling people so they can scam as much money out of people as they can!

Are they allowed to do this? I have spoke to my bank who will help me but say there is no gaurentee I will get my money back :-(

    Please can anyone help???

Also how do we take the matter further i.e. Trading standards, Watchdog?

This company should not even be allowed to trade and people need to be made aware how bad they are

    **DO NOT BUY FROM SHUDOO!!!!**
    **COMPLETE SCAM!!**
