Hi there,

Just wondering if someone can direct me to a website etc where I can download a free L and P sign for my car. I am on a provisional licence and my brother is on a learner licence.

Again not sure if the donwload verisons are allowed or should I buy the ones available from the supermarket?

Thanks in advance

Buy them from somewhere, they only cost peanuts.

Not sure what a " learner " licence is?

Ive seen 2 packs of L plates in Poundland, the P plates are optional after you have passed your test.

They are also £1.80 on amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Magnetic-L-Plates-2-Pk/dp/B000OS6Q5G

After print costs, laminate costs and buying the magnetic strips, its surely cheaper to buy them in a shop.
  • I assume you plan to print them off and stick them to the car somehow? What are you going to print them on?

If you want to download them, just do an image search on Google. The plates must comply as follows:

For what it's worth, you may as well just buy a set - they're £1.59 on Fleabay with free P&P!

About 60p a set if you have a branch of Wilkinson near you...
Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning

Driving with P plates seems to be a sign for other drivers to bully, intimidate and cut up the car bearing them.

    I'd never use them.

I would.... Nothing more insulting than being overtaken by an L or a P :p
