Plusnet line?

Hi,
Given that Plusnet is owned by BT, if I decide to get broadband from Plusnet is there any good reason not to swop the line rental from BT to Plusnet?

Not if it's cheaper, no. But of course should you later move your broadband away from Plusnet then you will have to switch your line rental too.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Look at packages from Plusnet BB/rental/calls thru Incahoot website.0

Hi,
I've been looking at the Incahoot site for some time after they appeared on BBC News, and decided to go for one of their broadband/telephony bundles. Placed my order just over a week ago, and everything have been good so far. I also like the fact that they provide live support on their website, and you actually chat to people based in the UK, and not some outsourced Indian call centre.
Now looking to see if I can save some money on my current mobile phone deal which is up for renewal shortly
Well done Incahoot :T0 -
Hi there,
You can (if you wish) keep the phone with us if you either cancel or migrate the broadband away - just wanted to say. Also we try to maintain an active presence on here but we have our own community forums if you wish at http://community.plus.net
Kind regards,

I moved from BT to Plusnet and am more than happy with them. I had a long term fault on my line that BT insisted was `my equipment`, Plusnet sent a chap out who told me it was water in the junction box on the road and I would not be paying for the repair. Big difference in attitude all round to be honest."Ignore the eejits...it saves your blood pressure and drives `em nuts!"

Thanks for that - broadband will be a new experience for me, so I may need to take you up on that!0 -

I agree, Plusnet seem very competent. I moved from Virgin Media to Plusnet and don't think I've had a minute of down-time in three months - with Virgin it was almost daily!0 -
Another vote for Plusnet. I escaped from Talk Talk last August and moved everything to Plusnet and haven't had a moment's trouble since.Oh dear, here we go again.0

how much a month is plusnet and what do you get?
I'm with Virgin but fed up with the bills always being more than agreed every month - its as if they make up the bill amount and you have no way of arguing with it Also customer service is practically non-existent they make it very hard to contact them if there is a problem0 -
I've been with Plusnet for nearly 6 months, the switch from MAAF was motivated purely by potential cost saving and was completely painless. I pay £18.48 pm for line rental, evenings and weekend calls, up to 20mb broadband with 10gb limit. Download speeds are consistently around 5mbs which is about what I would expect for my circumstances.
Everything works fine and the free Thomson wireless router they provided (postage £4.50) seems to give a more stable service than my own Netgear that I used before. Not had to trouble their customer services so cannot comment.0
