Hi, I use parcelforce as they are well established and I trust them, also you can get a 15% discount if you use the code MAS in the 'redeem voucher code (or something like that!) Quick and easy!! - www.parcelforce.co.uk

  • Staples are now doing a delivery service, I think they charge a flat fee.
  • not sure if i am allowed to say who but i used (absolutely nothing to do with me) a user on Ebay to send two x 30 kilo packages @ £7.25 each AND it was Parcelforce who picked them up and the items were trackable immediately and i even saw the signature of the person who received it on line.

ParcelForce wanted £68 for the same two items but i paid £14.50 - i emailed her to ask her how she did it so cheap but got no reply

  • oh donstermonster, I think you must have used who I have used tonight for the first time and I'm glad to read your post - the person was recommended on another site I use and I must admit I was a little concerned that the buyer of my items would receive their goods but she has excellent feedback so I went ahead - she says she does discount for multiple orders too - great for mums selling clothes bundles - the last one I sent via RM cost just over £15 whereas it would have been half that had I used a courier. I placed my order tonight so should get a reply for booking the detls etc.tomorrow.

Is it fastparceldirect? I've got a heavy parcel to post.

  • I use a service via ebay, I have mentioned it here a few times. They have excellent feedback. I have personally used them 6 times and DHL has been the courier (their 24hr delivery service.) Your delivery would be trackable, insured against loss or damage upto £100.
Weight upto 31 kgs (their is a size limit as well).
    UK next day delivery £5.99

Always worth getting a quote from Pharos International.

  • As an aside, I was being served by my friendly Post Office lady this morning when her phone rang. It was someone enquiring about the cost to send a 160kg parcel. She nearly fell over laughing as she put the phone down.

Don't know what it was, but they'd be hard pushed to get it in this tiny village PO which is shoved in the corner of the local Spar.
  • steve1905 can you tell me where I find out the name of the provider on Ebay, I could really do with a service like that.?

Same here please! There are a lot on ebay, but with very variable feedback. Personal recommendations would be appreciated.
