Don't panic yet, some agents only update their websites every few days. They have really had only one working day since you agreed a sale, they will still have a bit of paperwork to do first.0

thanks for the reassurance and i'm probably sure you are right with what you say i'm just a worry-wart lol and see the negative in everything rather than the logical x0

Hi,
Just to maybe put your mind at rest a little more - we had our offer accepted on the house we're buying back on the 26th of Feb. It took the estate agent until last friday (4th) to take it off their website!
It's not necessarily anything to worry about - sometimes it just takes them a while to update websites etc.0 -
thanks rebecca and good luck with your house purchase xx0

EAs should update the details asap so that others don't waste time pointessly working out whether places that have already SSTC are worth viewing. Surely it isn't that difficult to do.0

I regularly see house shown as available sometimes more than a month after I know an offer has been accepted, I similarly regularly see propertys shown as SSTC weeks after I know a sale has fallen through.
- I live in a very small town where nearly everone knows everyone and there are only a few estate agents. I think it's a combination of laziness and lack of professionalism on the part of the agents TBH.

And, as regards the ones not being "unmarked" where the sale as fallen through, vendors that aren't on the ball.0 -
Agreed. That or not being serious about selling.

thanks for your replies.
agree kinda with vendors not being interested in selling we viewed a house on sunday that we know has been on sale for a good few weeks which would've been great for us only for vendor to say we arn't sure if we want to sell it now!! which if we were considering putting in an offer put us right off cos first thing we naturally thought was either he would only take the high end price for an offer or if it was accepted for them to stop the sale partway down the line.
i also agree estate agents should update property status asap its not a hard thing to do surely and saves likes of me worrying thinking is anything wrong and saves prospective buyers wasting their time.0 -

All depends on the Estate agents software as to how easy it is some are not as easy as clicking a button. for example if OP accepted her offer on the Friday and the offices administrator had gone for the weekend she changes it on Monday and rightmove does not update till midnight that would explain the delay.
They may also be waiting for additional documents from the purchaser for example mortgage details before displaying it as sold or i know some agents who will keep the house on the market till survey.0
