They give savers interest on their money, such as it is right now.

Did you say devalue savers money?

Maybe re-phrase that. The rebate some of the interest they earn from lending out savers' money.

I would love to know how much banks make (£) on savers for every £1000 stashed away in a savings account.

That's easy. Just look at the spread between bank loan rates and saving accounts rates.

Golly, you're full of surprises, aren't you, Pastures. I knew it as "Soggy Biscuit".

You can tell who was at boarding school and privately educated from the soggy biscuits stories.........

Oh, right, so it's a posho thing, is it. Plebs haven't got the imagination.:rotfl: Or can't afford biscuits.:rotfl: Or, worse, maybe they haven't got enough juice to make it soggy!:rotfl:Flipping heck.

Might be some new life coming into this thread, the relevance of soggy biscuit to the economy and housebuying, 5 pages of numptiliciousness, coming right up, sir, cumming right up, matey, and, er hurry up, you really don't want to be a slow coach this time, now do you! Yes, this is one of the few occasions when actually it makes sense to be a quickie person and not a stayer! Yes, get on with it, no mucking about, well, actually, plenty of muck, too much muck. Eugh. Yuk. Do it, kiddo, and do it now. Forthwith. Pronto. Deliver! Otherwise the big lotto finger may be pointing at YOUHOO!

Has anyone done it in a film? Has one of those gross American frat movies done it? You would have thought so. But I can't remember actually having seen it in a film. Have you seen it in a film? It could make a funny scene. And even if it's been done before you could still do it again. Everything's been done before, hasn't it. Anyway. Don't get started without me now, will you.

What, deliberately? Were you secretly hoping to be last but you just couldn't hang on long enough? Couldn't fake it. Got too excited!:j
