Infants do not pay UK APD as mentiond.
They will pay all the US taxes fees and charges £33.00 same as child/adult.
The fuel surcharge on that route is about £23.00 for an infant in economy not £85 per sector as suggested.
They will also pay the UK airport charge, that will be about £47.00, same as child/adult.
When was the infants ticket issued?0 -
£180 for four flights totalling about 7700 miles, which works out at 2.35 pence per mile. Not bad value really, is it???
A typical passenger jet will use 5 gallons of fuel to fly that mile, which in rough figures costs the airline £10.
Your baby's share (2.35p) is 1/425th of the cost of the fuel, let alone everything else.

BA site currently showing infant tax / charges etc etc etc at £70.52 plus 10% of the adult fare. Now it may be that depending on the dates you are travelling they may use 10% of the fare that you have paid, or they may charge 10% of the current adult fare, if you were to book a ticket today.

heliflyguy:The OP is travelling from GLA via LHR so its more than that.
thats the quote from the BA site travelling GLA - LHR - YYZ (rtn), but the quote is only for taxes & fee's, not including the basic fare. As i do not know what dates the OP is travelling, it's difficult to get what an exact fare would be, as tey can change daily.

Ooops I was looking at NYC for some reason, sorry!0

That sounds very high... We've taken our 2 year old to South Africa twice now to visit his grandparents, with KLM the infant fee was £35 return. Now he is older than two, he has to have his own seat and his ticket is 85% of the adult fare.
