Ha ha, SERIOUSLY don't know if I could handle all my mates coming in and getting steamin' while I'm slaving away behind the bar though!
They would make my life hell!!!
Ah well, when needs must.......
I'll have the last laugh in the end..........:rotfl:0 -
You learn to make killer cocktails aswell, used to watch friends try to drink them, that was funny, my friends 21st they tried to get him drunk all night, he drank my cocktail, slumped next to the bar and fell asleep haha. Had to be carried home. It's not what I would call slaving away as most nights go quickly. It's usually awkward for the first week if your friends socialise there, after that didn't bother me and friends would visit at lunch times etc which was nice, or just pop in to see me after work etc. I worked 6 jobs at that point inc 2 bars and 2 night clubs so was only chance they got lol(maybe go for one they don't go to first) No hangovers and a pay cheque, what are you waiting for.One day I might be more organised...........

6 jobs!?! I'd have a breakdown!!!
Why not eh?
I'll speak to the owner of my local and see if he's got anything going!
I'll let you know how I get on.
Forget the saving, do you know what IS addictive? This forum!
If I don't get to sleep I'm gonna get fired from my 'real job'!
Nite all, I'm sure I'll be checking in tomorrow (at the very least to enter all the competitions - I'm now addicted to that too!!! )0 -
...nothing yet.

I hope you continue till you are debt free - but a word of warning....be aware that the novelty can wear off and old habits can creep back in. I am going through a terrible patch at the moment and can't see me ever being debt free to be honest (I'm hoping to pull myself out of this downer soon) so PLEASE, stay 'alert' for any dips in willpower and good luck in staying focussed!
Well done for doing so well though all you spender haters on here :T
This echoes my feelings at the moment, I was totally committed at the beginning and now I've slipped back into my old ways again. I'm spending too much and eating too much. I'm blaming it on the change of season, but really I just need to be proactive again.
I can't wait to get the no-spend, no-eat-lard addiction back. I just need to remember how good I felt to be in control at last.Phoenix79 wrote:I'm tighter than a camel's rear end in a sandstorm now!lil_me wrote:I get called 'Tighter than a Kippers A**' and thats water tight,
Excellent descriptions, I hope some day I'll have one to add. :rotfl:"Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it." (Montgomery, L.M.(1908). Anne of Green Gables.)

Yep I feel gulilty about spending now. Even just this a.m. i had the heating on and I kept thinking about it and how much it was gonna cost etc... So I switched it off even though i was cold. :T
But tbh, I'm enjoying it. It's a challenge albeit a very rewarding one. :T
I love it when i get paid and there's still money in my ccount from the week before. I NEVER, EVER lived this way. It feels good, but wish i'd learned 10 years ago.

Its amazing how addictive not spending can become!!!! I'm well and truly addicted after just one month. Cant bear to part with the money lol. When I go shopping with my OH I spend half of the time telling him he cant have that and the other half putting back things he's sneaked into the trolley thinking they were a good buy!!!
