its not just boys, DD (3 weeks old) does this as well! and not just with wee...
we were shown in antenatal class to have the new nappy ready to put on as soon as you are done with the old one - never leave a baby with a bare bottom or be prepared to suffer the consequences!0 -

lol! - yes I was pooed on a few times when both of mine had slightly loose nappies!
With DS I only got peed on a handful of times so was possibily lucky

I use a muslin to dry my boy off before putting a new nappy on - just pop it, folded in half long ways, under his bum and bring the rest up in front of him - leave it there while I sort out his nappy/wrap and it catches any attempts at covering me in wee!0

I was given some and found them completely pointless. Unless your baby stays really still when you're changing them they just fall off and you waste more time putting it back on (and therefore increasing the likelihood of getting peed on!).0
