When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:T

Hellllooooo everyone and wooohooo for another week:j Hope all ready for it to be full of fun and sparkliness:D
Today I'm off for my scan at the hospital...booo, so no coffee for me as I sit here, no food and drink from last night:( I'll enjoy my lunch later - hopefully I'll be out by about 2. Still, this'll show us if my darn Crohn's has flared up...I'll find out on Wed.

So, hope all of you are well and had fab weekends:) Welcome to any new posters and to any lurkers, as well as all you lovely regulars...come and post your lists!
Ok, here's my list:
  • check banking
  • check onepoll
  • packed lunch for dd2
  • meal from plan tonight - roast chicken:beer:
  • take book to read at hosp...dont buy a mag
  • rubbish/recycling out
  • bag of jumble out for collection
  • check ebay listings
  • wrap shoes sold on ebay last night
  • heating off during the day
  • Uni work
Ok, that's my lot - have a sparkly Monday:j:j:j
I really need to sort out a new signature!

Well, my last blood tests showed a raise in something which can indicate inflammation - so it *may* have come back - I'm not convinced though, I think what causes my unsettledness is food/drink - since I gave up milk it settled right down, so we'll see! My hosp doc wasn't particularly interested when I mentioned the milk, but I am sure it doesn't agree with my newly delicate insides:rotfl:
Must go and get dressed and wake the girls...I'm not enjoying being up without a coffee, booo:(

Good morning everyone out there in DFW-land, and thanks to pixie for starting the thread. I'm attempting to be up for it this morning too, but it doesn't seem to be working! I had debated about a 7 o'clock start at work, but as you can see, that didn't happen (I'm still sat in my PJs :o)

    Right, list then so far:
    • checked banking - still no tax credits gone in
    • checked for surveys
    • started DW on Economy 7
    • fed and watered the chickens
    • made lunch to take to work
    I will also:
    • do an hour overtime each side of the working day
    • charge mobile at work
    • go on a half hour walk at lunchtime - been a bit lax recently
    • work for other half hour and claim as overtime
    • free coffee at work
    • finish "shopping list" for Roman Blinds for another DFW ;)
    • spend at least an hour in the sewing room - get latest creation to fitting stage
    • all meals from stores
    • have an NSD
Nothing spectacular there, but it all helps to chip away at the debts!
Catch up later folks, stitchy x

Morning everyone, rare day off work today and I am making the most of it doing not a lot!

    1. Check where cat food is cheapest - done, off to Sainsburys (got in Wilkies in the end for the same price)
    2. Check banking (bank charges gone out, expected!)
    3. Plan lunch and dinner from freezer but trying to stick to diet (going on hols 8 weeks tomorrow)
    4. Take car to garage, not very DFW but has to be done
    5. Once car paid for work out what money is left over to go into savings
    6. Review DVD's for sale
    7. Check garage for stuff for eBay (stuff going on to eBay as we speak!)
    8. Do housework (conservatory tidied and we have a room back rather than a pile of junk!)
    9. Not to go to town!!!! (did go but only to drop Mum off as she is getting bus up to the smoke, then popped into Wilkies for cat food)
If you knew it then you know it!

After hearing some good news we kinda had a treat of some cakes from greggs not very DFW

checked freezer and cupboards got dinner for tonight sorted (chicken casserole. wont need to go out til tommorrow so another NSD today.

sun is shining so will try and peg washing out 2day! so not using tumble.
