The Lexar 1GB 40x Compact Flash has been further reduced in store from £14.91 to GBP £9.91. Not a bad price for retail.

I picked up a couple of Lexar 1GB CFs from Leicester Raw Dykes yesterday.

Also the Netgear internet phone boxes (not Skype unfortunately) are also now down to GBP £9.91. These were £29.91 a short while ago IIRC.

Surely you mean 'not Skype FORTUNATELY'

Skype is the worst and one of the most expensive VoIP providers there is.

These Netgear TA612V units are supplied with 555 free Sipgate call minutes (worth £20 approx) AND you can unlock them (via the Sipgate website itself) to work with most other stander VoIP services.

SO BUY IT!!!!

sipgate has terrible call quality imho - at least skype works nicely (I run an asterisk box...)

No clearance section - I just scanned the shelves and saw the iAudio X5 sitting there. I took a look for the 650VA UPs (reduced - cheaper than 500VA) but they had nothing. As mentioned previously the Archos AV700 on display looked worth a check on the real price on the off-chance. The Archos seems to be discounted elsewhere and it just may have a deal on it if you ask.

Went down to staples in halifax, they have loads of office machines and consumer electronics on clearance! They also had many items of furnature half price!

The staples store is on pellon lane halifax. They was puttin more out so get down while you can!

i picked up loads of cheap software, all clearance software is half marked price! loads @ 99p aswell which is just no special offer!

Went into the Hanley branch today and there were

256mb Lexar Memory Sticks pros for £1.91
6gb usb hdd drive Philips (tiny little ones) for £39.91 which i thought were really good value.

Competley off the main topic but my shredder died this week, Motor was going but it guess the plastic gears have gone in it. It was a few years old so I was going to buy another. Bells rang in my head and I dug the box out out of the loft and found it had a 3 year warranty that expired next month (amzing in itself).

Took it back to Staples, thinking I'd get told go talk to the manufacturer (and it was bought when it was an office world store ) who not only exchanged it for a new one ( with a fresh 3 year warranty) but as the replacment was cheaper gave me the tenner difference back. No fuss, no bother, but really was a nice suprise they dealt with it so effiecently.
