Well - I was right about OH and yesterday!

He came home in a grump, had a hissy fit when DD2 wanted to toss the pancakes (!!!!!!- she's 17!).. and it rapidly went downhill from there! When I got back from slimming world (+1llb:mad::mad:) I had my tea and then the girls wanted to do my birthday cake - well he'd disappeared! DD2 found he'd gone to bed - at 8.40 ish - and he said to her that he didn't want to see me blow out my candle in fact he didn't want to see me ever again!!!!!!!

So DD2 spent the night in tears:mad::mad::mad:.

The kids were absolutely brilliant! ( I knew they would be - I'm close to all of them - even DS who wouldn't like to admit it!). I did point out that he was probably depressed but the kids couldn't see past the fact that he had ruined my birthday.

At 3.30 this morning :eek::eek: he apologised - and admitted that everything was getting to him at the moment. I think the death of his dad had a lot to do with it, but he's not keen on his job but won't get anything better on the same money...... He is underappreciated at work - but he is the first person they ring if anything needs sorting out (last time was 4am!).

so today i have sorted some washing and dispatched DD2 to school. Am currently decluttering a cuppa and then off to do some stuff - what room is it today?

Started trying to send this at 7.30!

Lot of early risers about this morning
    juliejim:eek:

Just put the paper recycling box out it's COLD but at least it's still dry here.

Update - recycling box emptied and retrieved.
Jojo - well we think it's great you've got a paid gig:T (do you have a patio?)
AnW's - hugs. Can you say you are putting down slate to stop animals digging up the bulbs?
Dancemum - hope things look brighter this morning.
I know what you mean about the car. I have a brilliant garage and would always trust their advice.
Can you explain to the garage that you were worried about their advice about the brakes because you have had such good service from them in the past and trusted their knowledge and now you are wondering if you will have to go elsewhere? In the current climate I doubt if they will want to lose a customer and risk bad 'word of mouth'. Do you usually see the same man?
cyclingyorkie - Hugs. Maybe now he has admitted it he will get help. Would he sit down with you and the kids and explain to them?
Shysarah - low bill vibes for car. Well done on coping with work.

    - out today - trip to library and meet a friend for lunch.

Love, sticks and spoons as required.
Special love to toots LW and Lady-L

Morning all, blessed with another sunny morning here.

    CY hugs for you

I'm going to put the washing on the line, write a shopping list and then head out, flying to be planned later.

JJ - glad you read my posts thoroughly, split of the fingers (should have said haircuts)

Shysarah don't tell yourself off, give yourself a big hug that you have achieved so much. It is annoying when systems are confusing but you deserve to give yourself the consideration you would give to someone else. I'm very impressed at how you are coping with this challenge. Hugs.

Cycling thank goodness for your lovely children. Even though he is really stressed out there is really no excuse for being rude. However, we often hit out at those that are closest to us, which is very unfortunate. Hugs.

    Craftyscholar enjoy your lunch.

No paid work today so I should get some flying done.
Have got visitors at the moment so it is not so easy. Added to the fact all dinners since Saturday have been for 11;)
I must at least maintain the kitchen and bathroom and the cooking.
Looking at the lists gives me some organisation. One of these days I'll do it properly.
Hugs, sticks and spoons to those who need or want, Silver x

hi,first post, thanks for the link, but I am still not sure if i am doing it right, scuse ever worse than usual grammar, caps etc but have had broken bones and right arm is a little dodgy.
so,today i am going to go to our semi-assembled wardrobes in the spare room and try to get some organization into our clothes.due to arm, cant iron at the moment(normally only iron to a minimum anyway).
press ganged a helper to put the screws into the wardrobe yesterday, now going to try to assemble hanging rail thingy.

then sort out OH clothes (in a temporary wardrobe in airing cupboard),he cant be bothered to put clothes on the shelves, so a lot is on the floor!!and I am going in to sort out his stuff, after that will start with todays ;list

Edit-notes to self as I go along-put oh's shoe polish next to his shoes.
Ask OH to go through his many ties-any he doesnt want offer to son,or charity shop.
Tie piece of red ribbon or similar fabric scraps round OHs suits hangers when they come back from dry cleaners so he can instantly spot t5hem in wardrobe, and not rifle through all the other stuff.

Clear out upstairs under eaves cupboard so I can get to suitcases and start putting holiday stuff 9in a s I sort.)

Ask OH to try on all the shorts I have found of his-any that dont fit-hide away - I want any stuuff that doesn't needec ironing out of the way.

    Good Morning all xx
All washing done so going to go strip DD's bed first....day off today so want to get lots done(whether I will or not is another thing!!)
I am looking for a desk to put in the living room in place of a chest of drawers that are holding a lot of rubbish. The desk will free up a lot of space in the dining room which always looks a mess, these are the 2 I am looking at at the mo.....the first 1 is £139 and the second is £71.99....what do you think....will go find my list now xx
