Not a brilliant day,
Dusted Living room, 2 x wm, daily grind done
rant warning 1
took car 9am to garage to have brakes done, when had it Mot & Serviced man told me too bring it in soon. I have worried everytime I drove it. They said it would be ready about 3pm but would ring me. I rang them 4.15pm to be told it was ready. Husband collected it on way home (has very poorly knee so didn't really want to) he was told brakes didn't need doing by same man who said to bring it back soon. DH limped to car and rang me, I reminded him I had asked them to check brake fluid level. Man muttered and checked level. He then said we had a leak and decided clutch machine cylinder was caput and we should drop car in sometime.
The thing is I have been using this garage for years. I tried going to main dealer when I bought this car 3 years ago but everytime it went in mysteriously something else broke while it was there.
rant 2
Mum's legs have got infected (broken hip about 6 weeks ago). I couldn't get hold of my Dad so was worried she was moved from residential home back to hospital. I managed to speak to my Mum who has been set upon today by a new old lady so was very upset. The home she is in is about 13 miles away down the motorway and off a dangerous roundabout. With dodgy car I'm scared to go. Mum calmed down and is going to avoid woman. I was so upset as I spoke to my sister who is an ex nurse and I asked her if she thought Mum would ever come home again and she didn't know. I'm youngest child.
Don't expect answers just needed to offload. Hope this is ok.

Poor Dancemum, sounds like you've had a really pants day

I'm not doing too bad at this flying stuff for my first week.
Managed to do all Monday and Tuesday level 1s, plus a couple of level 2 & 3 as well, and I managed a HHI last night which OH found highly amusing (me and ironing don't normally mix):o
I'm off now to plan my Easter baking.

Evening everyone,
A very late appearance for me. I haven't even looked at Mondays list yet never mind todays.
I have decluttered a load of ironing tonight though. That was more 'pressing' :rotfl:than anything else.
I have kept up with dailies, but life just seems very busy at the moment.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Art and cycling yorkie. I hope you have had a super day! Same age as me now cycling
MUMto5 - happy to help with your weekend away. I hope DH (and you) have had a fun day today.
Hugs to everyone else. So many of us have a lot of carp to deal with, but sadly that's life.
Off to my pit - 80 pages left to read in my book - but will probably only manage 5. Hope I sleep better tonight - 2 out of the 3 cats were being right little monkeys last night. 1 was insisting on sleeping in the middle of us both, and 1 kept standing/sitting on me. The fat one who is on a diet! Kept ejecting them both, but 5 minutes later they were back.....
Right - night night and listy listys tomorrow. :jYesterday is history
Tomorrow is a mystery
Today is a gift

Speak for yourself I am highly sensible
That's a matter of opinion. I've seen far too many posts which suggest the contrary [ducks].
Ergh. Pizza and pancakes for tea tonight. The woodmouse living under the newly half emptied shed nearly got it all. I hate junk food.
Booked a university course residential for the summer today. Got a hard time about whether I was planning on asking him to feed the cats for a whole 48 hours in late July. And then a hard time for being on the laptop for ten minutes instead of doing the washing up.
Cleaned both bathrooms, vacuumed, moved a rug from downstairs to cover the bare boards in my room. Considered murdering the Bloke and burying him in the veggie beds, but figured that he'd be just as disagreeable there as anywhere else...
He has issues that I have been offered a gig playing for money. It means I would be neglecting DD and instantly in danger being out after dark. And probably cheating on him with the first man I met.
And there I was getting all excited that someone thought I was good enough to offer employment to. And that I could list my occupation on the census as 'musician'.
Got to measure up the stairs for fitting a carpet now. Well, I would except for the fact that my 4 tape measures have disappeared. Just as his tool kit went into his car. It'll be his body in the boot next at this rate.
I have physio tomorrow afternoon.
and I feel foul of body (AF) and of mood.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Busy day, just finished clearing up the kitchen from pancakes and hoovering up the hair in the living room from pancakes. I didn't have time for either before the cricket runs.
Look at the time! Ten minutes then I'm off to bed.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Dogbot is back from the vets and struggling to get use to the lampshade and is very confused a to why he cant go upstairs to bed, poor love. I think its going to be a very long night for both of us."Let your boat of life be light, pack only what you need- A homely home and simple pleasures, one or two friends worth the name, someone to love and someone who loves you, a cat, a dog, a pipe or two enough to eat, enough to wear and a little more than enough to drink, as thirst is a dangerous thing" Jerome k. Haven't caught up with the thread properly (every quick skim through) so hugs, spoons, good lucks etc as appropriate, just grab whatever as you pass
:rotfl:
Busy day. I was so NOT in the mood to go to work today as my face was sore but I went anyway, we were a few minutes late (The bell is supposed to go at 8.55 and there is now a few of us staff members who can confirm it actually goes at 8.53 so its the bell that's early not us late...and I'm sticking to that
). Then had a morning of "teaching" year 4 which was like trying to get blood out of a stone :wall: then an afternoon of year 4 readers which wouldn't have been so bad if there wasn't also art & pancake making/eating going on in the same room and nowhere else for me to take the readers :wall:
Came home to find my ebay items had arrived - Anthea Turner Perfect Housewife series 1 & 2 on DVD
DD thought I'd "lost it" 'cause of the way I reacted :rotfl:I've wanted copies for at least 3 or 4 years but hadn't seen them anywhere.
So inspired just by them arriving I washed up while listening to DD read, wrote my shopping list, decluttered a gingerbread train with DD for tea (we had pancakes in school after the kids had gone to use up the end of the batter so weren't that hungry
) and tidied up the kitchen then filled out a form DD needed for Brownies:D Took DD to Brownies, carried on and did the weekly shop, came home, back out to pick DD up then went out to collect the end of my books then dealt with them. Home, supper for DD and myself and packed her off to bed after getting everything out for school tomorrow
So not much official thread flying, but actually pretty good for a Tuesday night in this house since we achieved all that in 4 hours, 1.5 of which was me shopping in 2 different supermarkets. :rotfl:
Tomorrow is another work day for me, so I'll grab the lists tomorrow night and get them started
Right now I'm off to bed. Wednesdays are the day when I usually hear year 3 readers ALL day or run errands (like photocopying & filing) for the teachers so I need to be wide awake
 Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
I didn't think you could fill it in till after the 27th March as you don't know who is in your house on that night, or have I misunderstood this?
Seeing as I have completed ours already there will no roo at the inn here, although they are welcome to the wendy house :rotfl::DDustykitten wrote: »AnW'sMum stop troweling and tampering vibes heading up north
Awwww thanks, that has really brought a smile to me
I shouldn't let them get to me over such daft things like this but I can't help it.
Well I listed some more stuff on ebay as I went along today and one item already has 4 bids on :j:j
So now I am off to bed to read in celebration!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang

Morning All
Well the WM is on and I've cleaned the bathroom floor so that's a good start for this time in the morning. I'll strip the bed when DD gets out of it and then I can put that in the WM when this load finishes.
I'm a little confused by Dusty - why did you have hairy pancakes?
Going to do a HHC in the kitchen now and then if DD's up, I'll go and get dressed.
Have a good day all
Hugs
