18 -20k for a TSi your having a giraffe theres no way its worth that much.

When I got my Fiat last summer i looked at Jetta and Golf 1.4Tsi's and they could be had for 11.5k.

No its that cost see vws online order page.I seem to have offended some on here but I can assure you its NOT for any obese person to go to morrisons.its for my wife who is anything but obese and is getting thinner by the week.check out the price its called a vw golf match 1.4.
counting down the time I got left.:beer:

But you did not have to have a car costing that amount.

Indeed, you did not have to have a new car.

No and yes we were offered a choice up to the amount received as motability allowance could have just taken the money £50 per week but the motability scheme supplies a new car insures it taxes it and maintains it and renews the car every 3 years.now I know a golf would easy last 10 years especially with the mileage we do (8000 a year)but you do not get that option they take it back after 3 to sell on for the best retained value.

5 speed manual or 7 DSG ?? I have had the latter for 2 years and it has been the most enjoyable 2 years motoring of my life. And despite sme spirited driving it gives me 52 mpg out of town.

I considered a VW/Skoda with this engine, then read VAG are dropping the engine as its too expensive to manufacture and the failure rate is too high. If they have no faith in it, nor can I.

Rubbish . they even make a more powerful version of this 1.4 It has a supercharger as well as a turbo and is guaranteed to blow your socks off.

It a six speed manual I really wanted one in red like the showroom one but another stipulation of motability is it MUST be in metallic and also theres a long waiting list for all golfs at present so we took metallic grey.it comes with a few things that are handy (cruise control, aircon.and one thing I thought they were kidding about till I saw the broucher,a camera that pops out of the rear vw badge when you select reverse and the image appears on the radio screen(I kid you not)when wife asked what it was for I told her its for lousey women reversing.(im in the spare room now)

Women can also get the autopark accessory. You drive alongside the parking space press autopark and the car does the rest unaided , creepy
