Maybe I am being a little premature, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Today I passed my practical test (praise God) I am so happy. I am at some point gonna get a car..(don't have a clue which one yet). But I wanna start thinking about insurance. How much I am looking at? What is the cheapest insurance company. I am female, and 20 years old, it will be my first car, I dunno what car to get yet. But I guess I could do with some advice from now before I get the ball rolling. Bear in mind I know nothing about cars, just to pass the test apparently!!
Cheers in advance

If you go to the new/used car search on Yahoo! Cars, they have an indicative quote next to each car. This is based on a static profile which won't suit yours so expect to pay a little more than is suggested. However, it'll help you to see which cars fall into range and which don't.All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers0 -
I'm 21 and I started a policy last year. At the time I found admiral to be the cheapest but have now discovered elephant and endsleigh to be cheaper. I added my mum to it and the price came down a lot. Just get them to drive it once round the block or something to justify it. I have found that if I put her partner on as well it comes down a few quid but with him alone its not as much a saving, so women are probably best to add. I was quoted £1100 for my ford ka which is quite a bit but i'm a guy in london so there you go. This year I am looking on elephant and found insurance for under £800 even though I had a crash earlier in the year.0
