We've had guinea pis for years and currently have two cheeky little 16 week old brothers - so cute. We feed them dry guinea pig food that contains vitamin c, dry grass, fresh grass, cucumber, carrots, fresh spring greens, apple, broccoli, cauliflower, grapes and the occasional strawberry. We also make sure their water bottle is topped up. They LOVE dandelion leaves

feel better for posting that?
have you read my pms? no? enough said!
If you respond to a private message with a comment in the open forum, then your postings will not make sense and you will seem a bit odd, as they will have little or no bearing on what has been written in the thread. As 184 people have now viewed this thread, and presumably only one of them has sent you a nasty PM, then thats 183 people who are confused by your comments.
If you have had abusive PMs then you need to report them.

feel free to continue to jumping to your own conclusions, I have deleted my comments, lesson learnt, I shall never again try to help anyone out on these forums
job done!A heap big thank you to everyone who posts the comps, your all stars!
Proud to of never used or felt the need to use a chain of any sorts on a puppy0 -
I can't see that anyone is jumping to conclusions Kaelea. There's no visible evidence, for anyone reading your thread, that anything abusive has been said. You imply that this has happened via PMs but how is anyone on the forum supposed to know this?feel free to continue to jumping to your own conclusions, I have deleted my comments, lesson learnt, I shall never again try to help anyone out on these forums

Unfortunately, your original comments still appear, as they were quoted, and they still don't makes sense. Neither do the ones above, after all even the OP has said you have given them some great advice.

I have one very fat guinea pig! Sadly his friend died soon after we got them and an attempt to introduce another piggy to him went awfully! He loves carrots and broccoli, and apples and grapes.0

Just wanted to 2nd that about short periods of time - our ones would wee on you if you held them too long, not out of panic/fear you could tell they were happy from the noises they make, I think maybe they just have small bladders!digitalphase wrote: »Make sure they are handled frequently, but for short periods of time.
Also, a warning, probably obvious but be very careful if there are dogs/foxes nearby the guinea pigs, they can break into quite sturdy runs.0 -
You can normally tell if they need a whizz when you're holding them as they will get fidgety and nibble at your clothes.
I have two pigs, lost one last week
, they live in a massive cage in my lounge and go outside during the day when its warm enough.
I love them to bits:D
They love parsley and coriander as a treat.
I also add vitamin drops for pigs onto their food for a bit of extra vitamin c0 -
I buy kale and cucumbers especially for DS's pigs. They love the stuff and will squeak for hours on end very discontentedly if we run out. They also like peppers and shavings of carrots. I feed mine Gertie but they do eat all of it and they have hay twice a day. Our pigs live in the house for 6 months over winter and go outside for for 6 months over summer. I have one pig who has seen off 3 friends and is now settled with a new companion but it took months of bickering between the two of them before they could live together full-time. They seem ok now though!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
