My Godson needs to take a poem into school on Monday called "James Bond's car" by Roger Stevens. His mother has spent all day trying to find it in town but the book which it is in "I did not eat the goldfish" is apparently now out of print. I don't suppose someone can help? It is for sale online but as he needs it for Monday this isn't an option. We've both googled for it and can't find it anywhere, not even to buy and download.

I'm not sure if this is in the right place but if anyone can help it really would be appreciated.
    With many thanks in advance

    Hi OP
I know Roger Stevens and I own the book - so any more help required, just give us a shout:D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Just a point but I wonder when this homework was actually given as opposed to when he told you about it. I've had the "and it's got to be in on Monday" only to find out it had been given out a couple of weeks previously!
  • @ Travelgran...yep....spot on...after the cry from help to his Godmother (me) I find out the truth. Apparently, he already had the words to the poem but he'd left them at school on Friday. So, it was a mad dash on Saturday to try and find the poem elsewhere. The reason he needed the poem for today was that he had been entered into a literary competition. Because hippychick1 kindly posted the poem he was able to compete and came 4th out of 27. It's nice there was a happy outcome but now I know why I don't have children lol

@ BrightonBelle...thankyou for your kind offer and thankyou to all contributors.

That makes much more sense. I'm glad he doesn't have a teacher who would send the class off on a wild goose chase.
