Bt Broadband and Phone Package - Any Good?

Hi guys.

I'm after peoples opinions as to weather it is any good as my parents are thinking of switching from Virgin to Bt.

It would cost £7.50 for the first 3 months then £14.50 with free line installation which they would need as they are with Virgin.

It would cost around £241 all in over 12mths.

Any thoughts?

Assuming it's Virgin cable: can they get broadband on the BT line?

ADSL broadband isn't like cable. Cable can supply the same speeds to everyone. ADSL can only supply workable broadband speeds on short and good quality lines.

That's the first question to answer. You'll need to use your postcode, it won't work with the number.

If it gives you a result of less than about 4Mbps, then you'll be wanting to keep the broadband with Virgin regardless so the decision is part way made, as you will probably save the most money by moving all services.
