Hello everyone, been "listening in" to these forums for ages but this is my first post, so please be gentle!!

I love the ideas of hampers for gifts and have started making them up for my nieces for xmas. I managed to get bath robes off half cost a few weeks ago, have bought wash mitts and cupcake bathbombs from HB (thanks for that tip too!!). I have just received the strawberry muffin cases from Ebay and would like to make sock cupcakes with them but I am having a problem finding slipper socks cheap enough. Does anyone know where I can get them form and any more ideas for the "bathtime" theme hamper? The girls range from 3 to 11. Thanks.:o

Yey, I get to give you your first 'thanks', I do feel special.

I think for slipper socks your best bet is probably Primark though I am trying to avoid it! Poundland often has fluffy socks in too, random sizes.

Bath crayons are great too, you can get crayola ones, they come off pretty well. And I know you can get rubber duck sets pretty cheaply as I have one :)

Great find sophiesmum :) I love the clapperboard idea and think it's only right that I make a movie night hamper too :D Are they the sort you can write on?

    Hi passion8
The clapperboard is like a little blackboard so you could use chalks:D

    Thanks sophiesmum :)

I'm just on the Asda Direct site, and noticed that they're selling gifts on the £8 for 2 offer, and they include things like Disney and HSM alarms clocks and a few other similar odds and ends.

Haven't a clue if these are good value :o lol, but might be worth a look? hths :)

I'm so excited! My friend has just taken me to Morrisons and I've found some lovely baskets, so I can start making up my hampers. Cellophane is winging it's way to me as I type (although by Royal Mail, so goodness knows when it'll arrive!), so I'm all set to go. I bought a set of 4 wicker hampers for £4.99 and another set of 3 with handles for £9.99. Just don't know which hamper to start with now....oooh, this is great fun! Will post some pics when I'm done.

Went to asda earlier as a friend told me about some pink polka dot fleeces they had there for my girly hampers:D
They are lovely I got two, £6 each or two for £10, more expensive than primark but they are well finished off and I liked them.

While i was there I stumbled across these, was looking for something like these last year when I did movie night hampers - I think they are great and very reasonable:

The clapperboard was £1.50 and the popcorn boxes are 8 in a pack for £1.50 so could be split. Maybe someone is looking for these this year. I now need to do a movie hamper just so I can use them:j Guess OH will be having another stocking filler:D

Now need to make my £13 spend back to remain money neutral. They were with the party invites and stuff in store.
Thanks for these, it's payday tomorrow and I had that clapperboard on my to buy list at £5.99 from some internet site!! You're a star, just saved me a few quid :T
