  • lush1001 well done on your friends hamper its nice to know when something is appreciated.

sophiesmum good luck on the pink fleece hunt. I did see a nice wall hanger on ebay you could copy with the help of rainmac`s door hanger thread. It was all pink and it said sleepover in progress. :D

got-it-spend-it have you the biscotti recipe you used i want a relaible one ty.

I have a slight dilemma with hamper for dads partner. I was going to get her a little deco hamper but its too expensive.

My choices are a tea tray hamper, cinammon stars, christmas cake or mince pies, christmas tea and tea towel set from ebay.

Other choice is eco bag with brolly, gloves and scarf , found brolly not glove/scarf.

My dad i`m doing pot of gold , eco bag and something else ???

I got 3.99 country book last thing for FIL hamper with free delivery book ppl.:T

I`m debating whether to get the beauty fix balm for MIL hamper but its expenisive so need alternative.

One idea from travels is that a oven glove with wooden spoon , cutter and cookie ( biccie) mix in would make a good quickie pressie

  • I used a biscotti recipe from the BBC website but can't seem to find it now. If I do track it down I will post on here. This one looks pretty good. I might well give it a go and see how they turn out.

    ... as promised as I couldn't describe it ;)

    please click for bigger version.

The cup and saucer's now reduced from £8 to £3 and not everyone's cuppa (excuse the pun ;)) but seemed reasonable price-wise :)

This is great! I didn't see them in Whittards on Monday. Mind you, our biscuits don't tend to make it as far as a plate!

How far will 10m of cellophane get you, any examples?
    [snipped ...]

Just had a look on flower hour, and near the bottom of this link:

    http://flowerhour.co.uk/Giftwrapping-Ideas-and-Techniques_AISEV.aspx

they suggest using approximately one metre for each 12" basket.

Hi Mrs T - I hold my hands up - I didn't know what they were when I first came on here either! They are glass jars with the lids attached and a rubber seal as per pic below.

Some baskets from a flower wholesaler but now that I am home they are too big so will have to exchange.

I tried to make a basket up tonight but I only had tissue paper to use in the bottom and not shredded tissue and It didnt look right.

EDIT - I am in Bonny Scotland and we do not have a wilkos, home bargains or such like up here much to my disapointment.
TK Maxx do some nice baskets, hatboxes and other bits and bobs if that helps?

I bought a couple of boxes today; one was more than I'd usually pay at over £6 but there was a round hatbox for £3.

I'll post pics of them up asap.
