I tend to lurk on the crafty for christmas thread but since my crafty-ness is leading to hamper-ness I figured I would join in here

Was in Asda today and the have the little 125ml bottles of Italian sparkiling wine for £1 each. It's Stowells and looks quite nice. It is usually £2.50 odd. Didn't manage to get any of the 50p handwash or shower gel though- the shelves were totally bare!I'm making a bag of Lovely Lady things for my best friend's birthday this week, as being 'Lovely Ladies' is a bit of a longstanding joke between us. So far I have:-Pink knickers-Pink Lipbalm-Footsoak-Little bottle of wine-Personalised newspaper front page-Little notebookI'm going to wrap the individual items in tissue then put them all in a hessian shopping bag with a pretty label. I'll take a pic when it's all done (hopefully tonight but who knows...):DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Ermmm i am sure this will have been talked about 176 pages ago (wild guess lol) but as i am lazy and can't be bothered to search all through this MASSIVE thread, where can i get cellophane from?? Is it mega pricey?? Cos i have finished most of my hampers now but it has just occurred to me that i havent a CLUE how to wrap them!!!!??!!??!!? Is my only option cellophane? All the hampers i have made are in little square-ish baskets (from homebase!)
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -
Managed to pick up a few gift packs at a car boot today, one in a nice gold bowl and the other in a white bowl with a red gingham ribbon stuck around the rim. It looked good and I was thinking that you can pick up cheap plain bowls in Ikea or wilko's and add the ribbon to make a nice cheap little bowl to put stuff in. I got both gift packs for £1.20 and will re-do them with cellophane and ribbon. Also got 2 lovely books for £1 for the both-one was called 'Simply Sparkling Christmas Beading' and the other was 'Heirloom Gifts'. Will have a look through later and see if anything nice and easy to do!!0
