  • Having our normal pre sleep chat ( very racy huh !) OH said that his present should only cost £20.00. Though he has a blooming expensive hobby ! All countryside things are so pricey I`ve seen a shooting stick for £45.00 instead of £77 it has to be adjustable as he is tall. A cartridge bag £29 instead of £49. Perhaps i should just get that but it doesn`t look much .

Women are so easy to make lovely hampers for as is children but men ..ggrr ..lol

Two things does anyone have the mary berry Ultimate Cake Book i`m looking for recipe for christmas cake made in bean tins !.

this is fun but quite expensive.

    thanks

chardonnay - thanks for the tip about the laminating pouches from poundland, I didnt realise you could seal them with an iron. I will have a look next time I go.

Oh picked up some more of the cheap cake decorations yesterday from Sainsburys, cant believe they are selling them so cheaply.
  • I am still stuck on ideas for a hamper for the in laws, id like to do a joint one if possible. The mother in law constantly watches her weight so I am not sure a food hamper is the way to go and she is getting a pamper hamper for her birthday which is also in december. They do like their alcohol but have started making their own recently.

    Any ideas at all?

Maybe a few books on making whatever alcohol it is they make, a few mulled wine sachets (for that xmassy effect) a couple of bottles of red wine

I'll think a bit longer and see if anything else occurs to me

Edit: some cinnamon sticks might be nice too?

Cookie, how about a basket of games - couple packs of cards, dominoes, Home Bargains have had some small games in a box for 49 or 59p, you can get question games on cards - think I've seen them in Tesco for a couple of quid, some After Dinner Mints and a bottle wine?

This would only work if they would play the games obviously ;)

  • I am soooo inspired by all your hampers, they are all lovely.

Going to do a few for this year for MIL, my sis and a mixed one for SIL/BIL.

I have already ordered some muffin cases from ebay for the flannel cupcakes, i think they are so great!

Wow, look at all that stuff :T Ikkle, what's in the jars? It all looks fab :D

The little jars are bath salts hun. :) x

I got the jars from craftwise they are 35p each. I filled them with bath salts and then cut a circle from a co-ordinating coloured gingham material and then used a small clear elastic band to attach it.

there is also candles in a organza bag, square bath bombs and round bath bombs in the pic.
