I have 3 in one family so am doing a larger hamper for them, and a smaller hamper for my other grandson. Went to Tescos like you said and they are very good value in there, Morrisons were well over £1 for each pot of decorations. Bought them a bowl, rolling pin and wooden spoon each in Wilkinsons too.
I will probably get them a hand wash too so they remember to wash their hands.
Noticed in the Wilkinsons xmas book later that they have a cooking with kids calendar for 65p so going back up this morning to get one. Also want to see if they have the mummys little helper aprons still although think I will only be getting one as they might be a bit girly and I have boys to buy for as well as one girl.
Also had a look on Amazon this morning and they have a few nice looking cook books for kids (searched Kids Cooking) and they have now made their postage free if you spend over £5. Might see how much a small laminator is and write them out some recipes too (printer is broken). It would come in useful at other times too.
Am going to do a separate hamper for their mum with a cheap food mixer and kitchen scales etc so she can help them.
Brilliant ideas! I think Dunelm do kiddies aprons quite reasonably priced if you have no joy at Wilkos. If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

Don't forget about books from here too:

Was in Asda today and they have Radox japanese spa handwash for 50p and Palmolive anti-stress shower gel for 50p. Would be perfect for pamper baskets:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0

The frame I have is lovely, pretty sure it's the same. What I haven't tried yet is to record a message. I haven't sorted out a photo yet either. It's for the OH so was going to try and get the boys to sing a song or something

I've been lurking for about a week now, and have just decided to sign up.
Some of these hampers are wonderful, I've been doing them for Grandmas for the past few Christmases. I never really thought of having a theme, I just filled it with food from M&S. I'm one of 6 and when you divide the cost; which 4 of us did it turned out to be a luxury gift, maybe £50ish, it didn't cost us that each, and they are not overwhelmed with a pile of presents they don't really use and would probably re-gift later on.
Anyway, here are the hampers that I made last year (be kind) and I might steal some of your ideas for Christmas 2008!,___,
