The contents aren't edible but I think it looks cute, and like the bag and think it could be good as part of a baking set i am thinkin of doing, just depends on size x

Hi Rusty, do they still sell those big boxes of crafty bits in 'The Works'. I bought one when my DD was off with the 'Chicken Pox' to keep her amused.
I am sure it was only 3 or 4 pounds, but there was loads in the box, glitter glue's, pipe cleaners, crepe paper, pom poms, foil shapes (like your gems).
There would be more than enough in 1 box to split between the two tins.

Why not have a go at making your own playdoh ???

Oooh they probably are, I have to go to the metro centre this week so will have a look when I pop up there. Thanks, I always forget that place!
    Rusty

Asda are doing craft packs down to £3 that you could perhaps split between them. You could cut the paper in your box above or you could split it then roll it and elastic band it to take up more room;) The Works / Wilkos sell paint and play dough sets down to reasonable prices normally.... Can you fill them up with any items you already have in your personal stash that you are bored of?:p I know you are talking about items as extra presssies but don't get too carried away - I don't know what your budget is but you may find you need that money for other things....

Have a good day - SH

Will have a look there aswell as I have to go there this week lol

I have some gems and things I could put in there and some ribbons but that is about it. My stash is tiny lol I don't have a lot to be honest! Budget is £7.50 on each box then the last £5 is for the cooking hamper I am still under budget which is good :)

Thankyou :) ... the rabbit I rescued from the floor of asda, she was reduced from £3 to 50p so I picked her up a while back and she was in my nappy cake stash :) ... I keep sending emails to OH at work saying this is my favourite. I have used 45 nappies in this one (all size 2 which I don't normally use but this was the best size with baby being 7 weeks early. I think the shape of the cake is perfect etc :D ... just need to pick up a blanket from primark to finish it off and will get a square cake board and put some baby smellys on the board.

I've finally found the site I used last year for sugar free sweets :j I knew I'd lept it safe..so bluddin safe I couldn't find it again :rotfl: [hence my sig :o ]

    www.sugarfreesweets.co.uk

I've compared prices with places like Thorntons & Julian Graves, & this place compares very favourably even taking postage into account. The sweets are sold in multiples of 100g & are 96p each, & last year they came in clear plastic bags inside those padded envelopes. I can also vouch for the taste--cuz they were for me muvva--& they also offer a selection I've not found anywhere else, like barley sugar  & peardrops. HTH.

Phew, only been away for a day and this thread has grown about 4 pages!!!

Rusty, so sorry to hear your initial news of the solicitor but your next solicitor sounds much better. Good luck with it all, you know where we all are if you fancy a chat or a rant ;) . Your nappy cakes look fab (as always) - you do underprice but you know that already don't you ;) . For the crafty boxes, there are several bits reduced in Wilkos, I got a hair braid set for 50p for one of my charity shoe boxes :D

Sarah Smurf (what a great name!) - love your hamper box of goodies and your cello looks good to me :D

Thanks to all for a great thread, one of my faves :T

  • Just to let you all know, I went into Au Naturale yesterday, and they have 20% off everything at the moment! I picked up some great bits for my hampers & a couple of pretty boxes for my daughters' Xmas Eve baskets, which can be reused as storage after Xmas ;)

I spent only £12, and got some fab bits, including some cute Xmas deccys for 50p & 25p, which I bought 2 each of. They also had a great selection of scented candles, boxes, baskets & mugs.
