  • Well I think you are in luck, Poundland has a tonne of High School Musical stuff in at the moment, drawing stuff I think and definitely a door hanger paper pad. They are lime green and pink so maybe you could coordinate with them, primark has some cute stuff pretty cheaply, like slipper socks and jewellery, superdrug has sweet little vanity cases/wash bags that are pretty reasonably priced. There are some lovely ideas in the 'crafty for christmas' thread, something like a journal jar would be a good one if she is creative, get a pretty notebook to go with it...

HTH, got a little carried away there...

We dont have a poundland :'(

May have a look in the works as I think they normally have some good stuff.

Im liking the idea of a jewellery making hamper as she loved the glass beaded jewellry when she came to my exhibition (at art college). But I know nothing about this? Could I get her some thread / fishing wire type stuff, lots of pretty beads and then some clasps? Reckon this would work? Any ideas where I could get it?

  • Do you have a wilkinsons as they have some big jewellery making kits which you could split up. Woolworths have got a lot of stuff in the sale as well at the moment and I think I saw a kit for making a jewellrey box reduced.

I am more than happy to send some stuff to you if you are happy to let me know your address, gives me an excuse to go back to Poundland, he he

Jewellery idea is a good one, only prob being if it looks like she is getting less stuff, perhaps you could get some bigger but cheaper stuff to bulk it out. Do you have a Home Bargains store?

Thank you, that means an awful lot when you are a professional nappy cake maker!!! The bath salts jar is from Ikea, it's this one...

Called Sagolik, £1.99 for 0.5l size. I've used these for all my bath salts as I love the jar.

Aww hardly a professional at it lol however thats a lovely thing to say so thankyou.
    Jar is lovely! Thankyou :)

We popped into newcastle today as my son was seeing his dad for the first time in 7 months  (god men are useless!) anyway me OH and my daughter wandered round and there is a craft fair every 2nd sat so I might look into how much a stall would be. Some of the things were rubbish and they were selling flannel handbags for £4.50 and flannel bunnies for £3  Amazing how much they are charging, although I guess I find it pricey as I know how cheap they actually are ;)

    Right ladies I need inspiration!!

My other neice hates football and I have no idea what to do for her. Seeing as Im giving her sister a basket with lots of little things I want to do the same for her. She likes art, hair and make up stuff, most things pink and high school musical. BUT Ive made her a drawing hamper for her birthday (got some professional drawing pencils cheap:D) so I dont know if the art thing would be a good idea again.
Have just bought a High School Musical mug for my dd from bm (used to be au naturel). It would be quite cute to put some choccie in it, add a dvd/cd of HSM (there's a new one out soon so the older ones are bound to be on sale!), some popcorn etc, what do you think?

Am going to use mine for xmas and put the tickets for the show in it (bought them ages ago) and attach a card from the big bearded guy instructing her to have a good time and make sure Mammy sings along!

Beautiful again! Having converted me to baskets and cello - you may even convert me to door hangers next! I did buy 4 soaps in Aldi today to use in my Christmas reindeer - I've already bought the face cloths. Still need pipe cleaners and bells before I can start those tho... Still considering the cupcakes... but not normally being an e-bay person and not have a shop locally that sells big enough cases puts me off a little...

Haven't wrapped this one as I haven't arranged it all properly yet.

    Hope you like them :-)
Wow - these are beautiful... I love the lettering on the journal. Problem is I won't be able to give ordinary presents anymore I will always want to do something extraordinary like this!

I've given my 40s hamper now - everybody loved it and was really impressed. They passed around the music list - I'd definitely do something like that again! Thanks again everyone for the inspiration:T :A

  • I decided as my Dad can be pretty grumpy that I would make him a 'cheerful' hamper. I went into The Works and they has some stressbuster little teddies. One is an elephant and when you squeeze its hand it plays 'always look on the bright side of life". I had to get it, and at £1.99 it wasn't bad.
    :)
Now I love that idea... what is it about dads...?:rotfl: I'll have to see if they have it in my works too...

    Hi ya SH,
I am the least creative person EVER and have decided the flannel cupcakes are just the thing for me to start with.

I have spent the last few hours buying what I need from eBay and have enough to do 6 of them with cello and bows for £1.70 each.

When I have done them I will post up the pics.

Found some gorgeous pink heart shaped bath bombs with red glitter on top, to sit on top of the white flannel, they were 8 for £3.75 including postage. Don't be frightened of eBay it is great.
