My youngest was 14 on her last birthday and I made her a hamper, these are the kind of things I put in it:-

Jacqueline Wilson book (teen stuff apparently)
    pink lip balm
    body spray
    high school musical calendar
    fancy shampoo/conditioner
    eye shadow
    chocolate
    hair bands or scrunchies
    nail varnish
    nail buffers
    cleansing wipes

Best places to get these Poundland (try here first), Asda (do some great make up and mini version of shampoo/conditioner/body spray on 3 for 2), Semi-Chem, Wilkos.

    Hope this helps

your list has given me a few ideas thanks

Hi M & S sale started today and it's got HSM socks £1 and tshirt (think it was £3 or £5) and a few other bits. Also they were selling hsnm stuff off cheaply in Clares accessories a few weeks ago. It will be a fun basket to do, let us know how it goes!

thank you will pop in thursday and see what they have.

I can't remember who was talking about Yankee Candles & shopping channels, but they have their own site. I haven't a clue as to how much difference there is price-or-postage-wise, but here's the address....https://www.yankeecandleshop.co.uk HTH.

The Works have loads of High School Musical stuff too from as little as a pound
  • Not a proper hamper but thought this may give some of you an idea for your male friends/relatives.

Simpsons mug - wilkinsons £1.99, have seen it in poundland since though!
Tea Tray - wilkinsons, i think it was £2.99
Tea bags - taken from the cupboard and put in a cellophane bag!
Chocolate - tescos 57p! He likes the tescos own chocolate

These things were picked for my OH by our 3 year old and I ended up making it into a tea tray style mini hamper - obsessed, me no!?

Rusty, I LOVE your chalkboard baskets for your kiddies. Where did you get those in the night garden figures - my youngest loves it and would love some of those I'm sure! Think I may steel your Build A Bear voucher idea if you don't mind. Will be lovely after Xmas to go and get the bears!

Cookiedough, love your tea for one tray set, so lovely and looks so expensive, well done!!!

Ikkle, lovely hamper for your mum, great savings too!!!

Have I missed anyone? Hope not, only been away from PC since yesterday afternoon and this thread alone has grown about 4-5 pages!!!

My OH was the same but he has now come to his senses as we are also sticking a £10 note in there and for his youngest sister it will be much needed come christmas day lol. I saw you had got them from wickes and posted on the thread after you suprised that they had let you out of the special occasions board  :rotfl:

Not organised in the slightest I am afraid. I still have loads to make and sort out. Little ones birthday is 16th next month so may have to have a break to wrap up all his presents (yes they are all bought, were all picked up in Jan/feb) well all apart from his DS which I bought last week.

My sister in laws 21st hamper went down a tread, she has since txt 3 times to tell me how much she loves it :rotfl: (wonder if she likes it really or not) I will probably put finishing touches to my grans hamper and get that one wrapped today then thats another done :)

Oh no Cookiedough how mean! I would have slapped him and told him to sort it himself next time! Did your dad like it? nuts to your OH as long as your dad liked it that is all that matters!

Cookiedough, a golfer can never have enough golf stuff and your hamper was truly FAB :D

I need to talk my OH round about the sweet caddies Rusty, maybe I'll send him your way? To go with the sweet caddies for OH's brothers I've ordered vouchers to get annual magazine subscriptions to male type magazines from Tesco Clubcard - £11ish for one (Empire magazine) and £7 for the other (Viz) - not bad ehh? OH will probably still moan that they won't read them but I think it's a great present :p We ended up buying socks and boxer shorts last year as OH couldn't think what to buy so sweets and mags has got to be better than that hasn't it
