My baskets are quite large, so i bought some red coloured paper and put it through my shredder to fill it up before i added the contents. It does the trick as i have some quite small items inside but everything can be seen nowMurphy's No More Pies Club member # 140 - lost 40 lbs

Saw earlier about using shredded paper if you have a shredder. You could buy cheap wrapping paper in the colour scheme and put through the shredder. Also if you shop in bargain type shops you will probably find a guest towel for about £1.
Any suggestions on decorating one for a pregnant couple. I want to buy baby stuff but they don't know babies sex so any suggestions for actual decorations.

I've shredded old newspaper to put in the bottom of my hampers, then I brought a few sheets of tissue paper and shredded them to put on the top so all you can see is the tissue paper and not the newspaper.
it's a great thing to bulk it up as there's always old newspapers lying around and then you can just cover them up.0 -
You are going to think I am very simple! I'm not sure what I've done wrong but when I tried shredding tissue paper in our shredder it didn't work. Any tips? Do you do one sheet at a time?0

Here's an idea for a gardeners hamper:
Buy a plastic trug thingy (gardeners love 'em for moving stuff around the garden and they're easy to spot being bright). Pad it out with shredded newspaper. Fill with the following:
Wooden Handled Hand Fork & Trowel
Muscle Rub
Bath Soak
Nail Brush
Hand/nail cream
Liquid soap (buy gardeners soap if you can)
If you have a couple of spare packs of seeds (free ones are best from magazines) then add these too. Also, your local garden centre might be giving away free bulbs so you can add these to your hamper as well.0 -
right then, here goes! my first ever attempt at this type of thing.
i have done 2 sweet/chocolate type ones for my niece and nephew i have got to put a £10 in there yet but i'll wait til nearer the wrapping stage.
please be gentle with me
