Well some nice guessing going on there but no-one's quite got it right yet!

The way i look at it you gotta keep your sense of humour during situations like these as they will try and run you down and get you scared so if you can get a laugh at the expense of a rouge company like this then all the better.

The letter has now been sent recorded first class! So we will see what happens.

I am starting another post regarding Fredricksons and the A & L debt as since we now have another member of the forum getting almost the same threat for nigh on the exact same amount to A&L i am going to see if anyone else has had the same, as it all sounds a bit fishy.

Post will be headed FREDRICKSONS INTERNATIONAL!! HAVE YOU HAD DEALINGS WITH THEM?

Checked with Royal Mail and Letter was delivered to them this morning.

Sounds like fraud to me. I'd get in touch with Trading Standards, let them investigate.

Just read your posts - what a load of ........... Its incredible what these DCAs try to get away with.

Tell me about it, i have started reading a lot of posts of similiar situations and there are tones of them and have tried to pass along what i have learnt from this site and other legal sites concerning debt to other new members on here that are getting outright bullied by these DCA's.

They just play on peoples ignorance of the law and thier fear of the dreaded IMPENDING LEGAL ACTION letter/phonecall, since it has been proved and i still believe it also that most people are good and law abiding and if threatened by LEGAL ACTION will do most things asked of them to avoid it and if they don't know that they legally don't have to pay then they just go ahead and pay for debts that are statute barred, have no legal documention of the original agreement or just plain isn't thiers in the first place, like my circumstance, although i know better and am fighting this all the way and having fun doing so.

DCA's are just plain *insert you best insulting word here*

Ho hum we just have to slap them down when we can.;)

Luckily I've never had anything to do with the *******, but it all really sickens me, that as usual its probably the genuine people who get sucked in. They really do prey on the vulnerable.

HOLY C**P!!!!

I HAVE HAD MY IDENTITY STOLEN!!

Checked my credit report online today and a new account for a catalogue company has been opened!

Checked my previous searches and about 6 different catalogue companies have done searches at the end of October at my previous address. I had previously seen these searches but had thought they were to do with my wifes catalogue that she has, so did not look at them properly or i would have noticed the searches were to my previous address not my present one.

Called them all up and 2 of them currently have open accounts in my name at my previous address and have delivered items to that address in the past month!!

Told them to freeze the accounts and that i will be contacting the police, which i then done so the boys in blue are coming round tomorrow to take a statement.

Also called my previous landlord and told him what was going on and he said he would give me all the back up i required about moving out dates and that i had a flawless record for paying my rent, he also confirmed that he had new tennants in the house about 2 weeks after i moved out and i have thier names which i will pass on to the police.

This just got serious big time!

Thing is i also called experian and informed them and they are going to check up on the companies that made the illegal searches and get them to also investigate it, but he could not find any data relating to the original A & L debt. So i still do not know if that is related to this or is a separate matter??

Just when i am trying to settle down somewhere for the next 30 years something like this pops up

My Wife want to go back to the old house (which is just a couple of mile away and kick !!! with the new tennants but i told her to leave it to yhe boys in blue.

What a shock - at least the police should be able to sort this out.
