  • I would guess its a scam. Such a shame as always fantastic when you hear you've Won. My parents are the opposite they are so afraid of competitions being a scam they are reluctant to enter anything.

    There are an awful lot of competition/lottery scams doing the rounds right now.

    As soon as anyone mentions sending money or calling a premium rate number to claim a prize, you should walk away.

    The likelihood is that there is no prize at all, or that you'll have to spend more than the prize is worth to actually take advantage of it (insurance/meals/taxes/surcharges etc)
