  • There is a nice Thistle hotel right in the middle and a Jurys Inn.

We are going to a log cabin for our anniversary, unfortunately I discovered it too late to get one of the more luxury ones, but hey ...... NO KIDS!

I was on Dartmoor yesterday - it can get cold on Dartmoor in March (cold for Devon, that is !).

It can also feel quite isolated and remote on Dartmoor.

I would go for Exeter instead
    Keep calm and carry on

    Hi. i'm here again.

Our wedding anniversary came and went. Went on to stay at the Two Bridges Hotel in Dartmoor but only for one night.

Almost everyone there were old people (sorry...no offense) but none that that issue mattered. Don't get me wrong. the staff were really nice and very helpful and accomodating. Loved their in-house pet cat (named "Mousy") who's really kind and sleepy. but to add to our turn-offs there is not a wi-fi signal in our room and no mobile phone signal at all.

the hotel should have told us that the best thing to enjoy the place is have your won car. which we didn't have. we would be spending hours walking to places or atleast £200 worth of taxi fares to where we want to go.

so that's it. at least we got a discount. and the dinner was awesome. i dunno how they did that rubard trifle!

so, bottom line...have your won car and be prepared to survive without internet.
