Hi, to pay off the contract would cost £45 x 16 months = £720 so if you are financially able to pay that off you may a well just let the contract run. I am sure that selling the phone would not raise anywhere near that figure.0

No, not that much, because if you buy it out you'll save the VAT.No free lunch, and no free laptop

So that will still be around £600 then and possibly only £200 for the phone. Its still a lot of money to finish the contract .0

Indeed. One presumes that the OP knows that their finances are going to get worse, not better, over the next 16m.No free lunch, and no free laptop

Tell them you're moving to the Knoydart peninsula.
They can't provide you a service there.0 -
It's best not to make impulsive decisions, too many people react to a sudden change in circumstances, make a hasty decision and then a few months down the line find that they actually need the phone and end up taking out another contract. I think a considered decision is needed. Its just a pity its so early into a new contract.0

Nice try, but it won't get you out of your contract-no 100% coverage guaranteed.
Rockall is similarly excluded...;)No free lunch, and no free laptop

Regardless, I know two people who were released from a contract after explaining they were moving abroad.
May not work for everyone but it did for them (after a bit of persuading).0
