    Evening all,

Not posting much as seem to be losing the small amount of energy I have been building....not interested in much and knocked sideways by the least thing...basically just need to give myself a swift, hard kick up the rear, will try it to-morrow.

Disappointed this morning to get a phone call to say that the instructor had to cancel the spinning course due to the unexpected death of her MIL....was looking forward to it but it is to be rescheduled so hopefully will suit me then.

Roast chicken and roast mixed veg for dinner to-night, pineapple upsidedown cake with custard for pudding....bought 2 pineapples in Aldi the other day but the one I cut yesterday wasn't very ripe so used it up and enjoyed the custard too, hadn't had any for ages.

Bit of knitting done to-day, finishing skirt (why??) I promised DGD1 so hope to be able to send it on Monday, hope that it fits and that she likes it.

Hugs to all who are having a hard time for any reason, sleep well, stay safe

Hello all :) Been flitting in and out over the past few weeks but what with everything haven't really had time to post; wedding went well - it was a lot of fun. Did finally manage to do some OS stuff today though so feel justified in posting (and you can't see my [STRIKE]spider web draped[/STRIKE] gothic-look curtain rail from here :rotfl: ).

I am on a mission to use up the randoms that have accumulated in the food cupboard; so today I made banana loaf (using half a packet of "breakfast mix" dried fruit and seed mix and an open pack of flaked almonds that I found), a tea bread using the other half of the breakfast mix, a packet of dried blackcurrents that has been lurking for ages and the rest of the odd German sugar crystals, and parkin (using the end of the bag of ginger).

Need to fine a use for: coconut oil, unidentified dried Chinese mushrooms (several bags), coconut powder, aduki beans, mung beans, some odd rice shaped pasta, sago, a tin of aspargus, the ever present tin of evaporated milk (doesn't matter how many times I use it, I always find another one :rotfl:), a tin of foul looking mushy peas, a catering sized tin of pears (oh... and I forgot to mention I hate pears), lingonberry jam, mileed linseed and gogi berry powder (why? why?)... ahhh the list goes on and on - I'm just too short to reach the top shelf that time forgot :) Still, the task is one random a day (although that might be pushing it!). I think I might take all the labels off the tins for a laugh - if I open it, I'll think of something surely? :rotfl:

We are house hunting, so I am drastically trying to declutter (well, as far as trying to find a space to hide all the fabric I bought back from Finland :) ) I am finding the whole process horrible tbh; we are really in a good position to move, we've spoken to the bank, our rental contract has a break clause in it so we could move really fast; but it is just so hard.

I did some laundry today too, but that is about it. Everytime I clear a space in the lounge the mess just closes in on me. I am itching to get the sewing machine out, but if I do it at the moment; what with the state of the lounge, I'll end up stitching stuff to the sofa :) cel x
