That is a great idea. My OH stuck a wooden lip around a larger rectangular one so my little boy could play with his brio train set without everything wizzing off. If that makes sense.0 -

What a fabulous website! I didn't realise that I was was a 'hacker'
I have a sink stand made from an expedit bookshelf, but some of the stuff there is amazing - very inspiring! Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

On the product page under the product information tab it usually tells you for all ikea items what the packaging will be which is very handy. In this case it says:
Package measurement and weight
Packages: 2
Width : 63 cm
Height : 25 cm
Length : 201 cm
Weight : 64 kg

~I managed to get the Hemnes wardrobe home in my little Clio with the boot down on Monday night... from Nottingham to Birmingham!!
I have wanted that wardrobe for ages so I was not missing out despite Bham running out during the day on Monday. It was the tightest squeeze ever but so worth it :jProud meowmy of four fuzzy cats

does anyone know if these red expedit doors are £6.14 in lakeside ikea? thankspulliptears wrote: »Also, I went up to Warrington store yesterday to pick up a couple of doors for my Expedit room divider, I'd worked everything out so was surprised when the bill was a lot cheaper. It would seem the Red Expedit doors: http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/90115756 rather than being the £13.28 listed are £6.14p. Really odd as its not listed in the sale or online. I think this applies to all colours of door (NOT the mirrored ones) however, we established that other Expedit add on's like Drawers were not affected.

I know
I had a broken door from a Billy once and had to go back to Warrington to swap it. Called them first and they confirmed they had stock, but couldnt reserve so we had to risk going there hoping they still had a replacement. They did thankfully
As far as the red expedits go, I have no idea. They still show at full price on the website and are not part of the sale so all I can suggest is try it and see

Just an update on the Hemnes wardrobe (cardiff stock anyway). I went there hoping to order some for delivery, but apparently once they are showing as out of stock on the website for the store, they are gone. The guy said they are discontinuing the line, he checked for some returns in the store computer system, but there wasn't any there. Never mind, got a few handy bits and bobs anyhow.
So I'd recommend a call to the store first to check the stock if you are planning a long round trip.0
