If it is only costume jewellery that you are talking about, this should be covered for loss when send "ordinary" mail.
It is only jewellery made of precious metal, jewellery containing precious stones, or items where the value of the piece is higher than the basic materials and cost of making it.

You've nothing to lose by filling out and sending off a claim form.
For the sake of £4, someone may just decide it's not worth arguing and pay out, or they may send you a book of stamps.

As soon as i realised it was the same person i sent a cancellation request, she then denied it which meant i lost my ebay fees and then two days later filed through paypal as item not received! I have contacted ebay about her auction wrecking me but not sure what the outcome is on that as they haven't gotten back to me. And to top it off she has now won the case against me regarding the jacket so she has the jacket (still not signed for) and my money. I also can't get through to her local sorting office, as i spoke to them last week regarding the whereabouts of two missing items and they told me they would call me back which they never did.

When i claim through RM for the jacket, It was £32 + P&p £4 so £36 - do claim for the actual price (33) or the price plus p&p? then there was my cost to send it back, do they cover that as well? How will i get paid if i'm successful? I also spoke to my bank about doing a chargeback but they have told me without proof that it was infact delivered back my claim will probably be unsuccessful :o
