i wanna complain about someone working in new look!

hey, I want to complain about a member of staff working for new look. I have a feeling she is a supervisor but anyhow.

What happened was that last week i went to new look and bought clothes worth £120 approx. The next day i went in to exchange a couple of items to the same item but diff size. Im sure i left my reciept there. When i told the woman working there, she was really rude to me saying i dont see how u left it here. I was like, i dont need the reciept as i am keeping my stuff but incase anything goes wrong, i would like my reciept. And she then asked me for items i bought, as i was explaining the items she stopped me short and asked for my phone number with her only taking half the number! And she just chucked the details somewhere and walked away saying if she has time she will look for it.

Im not saying it is her responsibility to check for my recipt but she didnt have to be so rude.

Does anyone know where i can go to complain?

  • Head office? Sure they'll have the details on the website, did you pay by card? bank statements sometimes count as proof of purchase.

yes, i paid by card. I phoned the new look itself to firstly ask who that woman was and she was the manager!

Then i told the girl what had ahppened and i put the fon down. After 20mins i called back saying that i wanted the number for head office as i want to complain and she asked if i called 20mins before. I said yes and she said that thy have printed out a reciept for me from there till and i can go and collect it any time. she also said the manager wants to speak to me. I spoke to her and she sadi the same thing ie. to go and collect it but her tone was VERY different. Well, i have got the reciept now but not sure if i shoudl still complain.

since they have now apologised and printed a new receipt for you, I don't think you need to take it to head office

Sounds like the manager was having a bad day and sadly you got the brunt of it. She is now worried that you are going to pursue it and she is trying to cover her back . In your situation- you will have your receipt and the goods are satisfactory (I assume),I would put it to bed now,and put it down to experience. Not saying that you have been treated well but that it will cause you more aggravation to pursue it . HTH

Hi i just want to say that i know everyone has bad days, i do too but if i took it out on my customers i would be out of a job quickly.

It annoys me when staff in shops treat customers badly, they should work behind the scenes. It is their job to provide good customer service and i think you should complain.

If you are happy now you have the reciept, let it go however if it is still playing on your mind, then complain.
