2 year, 3 year or variable ISAs?

Various providers are offering 4% for 3 years, 3.50% for 2 years or 3.20% for variable. With the talk of interest rates going up, I'm undecided which to transfer my existing Golden ISA to (3.10% which drops next month).
I'd be interested to know what others are thinking about the fixed terms against the variable.

It's anyones guess as to whether interest rates will go up in the near future, many people seem to think they will, so those people are holding out using variable rates.
I have alwasy prefered the safe option of chosing longer term fixed rate ISA's, I prefer to know what I will get back and that it will be a half decent rate at least, but who knows, I could be wrong if rates do rise suddenly!0 -
I am just the opposite.
I am shortly about to switch mine to one year fixed although I reckon a half percent INCREASE is on the cards in the next few months and I will see what happens a year later
Inflation is the problem although the sun has just come out into my garden!0
