How on earth can Clegg deliver everything in the LibDem manifesto when the party came third? How can Cameron appease everyone in his party when they didn't win?
Maybe it is time to ask the electorate what they think.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. The waving of those ballot papers when Osborne delivered his budget will be the LD's real undoing........"An arrogant and self-righteous Guardian reading tvv@t".

The electorate has yet to wake up to the fiscal squeeze thats heading their way , irrespective of who's in power.
Local NHS trust gave notice yesterday of cutting £360 off all nursing staffs annual pay. As the trust board deemed it was no longer necessary to pay a London supplement to attract and retain staff.0 -

Judging by last nights result their £300 alarm clocks are getto blasting'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Low turnout of 36.5%. Hardly an endorsement of any one political party with Labour polling just over 22% of the entire voting constituency.0

You want a general election every time the going gets a bit tough for whoever's in power?
The coalition reflects the fact that last May the electorate didn't want Labour, but weren't overwhelmingly keen on the Conservatives either. So what we've got are some watered down Tories. Cameron is fairly liberal for a Tory, and Clegg looks increasingly to the right of his party. Britain is somewhere in the middle of the tabloid extremes of the Mail and the Grauniad, so the coalition is probably a fairly accurate reflection all round. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
At least the LDs are doing what is actually in the countries’ best interests rather than what is popular (see labour creating a deficit before the crisis hit in their last term). Sure they’ll be unpopular for a few years but should be able to point to their record by 2015.
Clearly as a minor partner they’re not going to get the vast majority of their manifesto in. If something’s unpopular it doesn’t make it the wrong thing to do.0 -
