They sacrificed their voters for power; after this parliament, the libdems are history.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

"Unemployed independent candidate." Very emotive. This site really needs a rollseyes smiley, I'd be sick from dizziness by the end of the day.
This is pathetic, why not just an independent candidate? At least he was looking for work.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I don't think that's quite fair. They didn't exactly have a long and tempting list of options after the general election. Probably the best outcome for the party would have been to let the Tories struggle alone in a minority government, but that would certainly not have been in the best interests of the country.
There will always be some sort of liberal party in British politics as there have always been those who are left wing but can't bring themselves to vote Labour.They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
Well I'm with the Loonys next General Election. I have a feeling they are far more sane than anyone else.0

Maybe so (although many Lib-Dems voters (not activists) are more centre right) but;
Clegg is proving why he was so ignored before the TV debate.
Vince Clegg (their best asset before the election) has been worse than hopeless.
Danny Alexander went so power mad post election that he seemed a more zealous than any Tory.
The fees debacle will crucify them - not because it was the wrong thing to do, but it perfectly demonstrates that the Lib Dems will do anything to buy a vote.
They will reap what they have sown at the next local elections / and the AV referendum. I'd be betting on Clegg to lose his seat if there was an election tomorrow.0 -

Well, all parties are bent as each other, but no other party is better.
Libdems poor result was well deserved for doing a U-turn on their pledge. Politicians lie through their teeth so no surprises anyway.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
