hiya,
I want a simple way to get rid of my broadband and use the cheapest contract domgle..I'm happy to take a hit originally on a PAYG dongle then go contract if they actually supply a decent service.
I'm a moderate user.
Is there a website where I can rnter my postcode then get a list of the best providers?

Do you have a mobile or access, do you get a good signal if so use that company . Word of caution while they are good for the connection here and there if you use iplayer or YouTube or gaming they will eat your data like anything .0

There was a site which enabled you to compare, but I never bookmarked it as when I tried it, it said there were no providers here, when there are in fact two.
Three is probably the best rated one with the widest coverage. There's a coverage map on their website you can have a look at. You want "indoor coverage" ideally. We get 3Mbps (from a 3.6Mbps cell) versus a possible 1.7Mbps over ADSL (1.5 miles from the exchange).
This will show you where the nearest cells are, albeit the interface is horrid:
