That is unlikely to make much difference unless you have a PCI adaptor and the existing antenna is buried in the rats nest of cables behind your PC. There could easily be 9dB of loss on the 3m of the typically thin coax it comes with wiping out any gain the antenna may bring.
If it is for a router you'd do better making a tinfoil reflector.0
