This may seem a dumb question but I know nothing much about mobile phones. At present I with Vodafone sim only and pay £10 month for 300 mins and unlimited texts, 12 month contract. This is due to expire very soon. I don't really want to tie myself in to a 24 month contract so was thinking about purchasing a Blackberry phone and use the sim card I have at the moment. Can the Blackberry take an ordinary sim card or is there a specific one for this phone?

Many thanks.
I USED TO BE INDECISIVE BUT NOW I'M NOT SO SURE!

  • The Blackberry can take an ordinary sim card, however to access the Blackberry features, Blackberry Messenger, push email etc you will need the Blackberry add on.

This ranges from free to £5 per month depending on the service provider and if you are contract or PAYG.

Great for anyone that was getting FREE Blackberry Messenger on Vodafone which ends at the end of June

    TEXT PLAN
Get unlimited free UK texts when you top up just £10 each month. You simply top up a tenner one month and get your free texts the next. Better still, that tenner will still be yours to spend on minutes, internet or whatever you fancy. Think your thumbs are up to it?

Plus, as soon as you make your first £10 top up, we'll give you an extra 100 free texts to use straight away – just to get you started

    TALK PLAN
Get 100 free minutes to call UK mobiles and landlines at any time when you top up just £10 each month. There's no catch.

Get this: 100 free anytime minutes to UK mobiles and landlines

When you do this: Top up £10 a month

    INTERNATION PLAN
Get always-low rates on international calls from the UK and an extra 60 minutes for free every month when you top up a tenner.

Get this: 60 free international minutes

When you do this: Top up £10 a month

PLUS: really low rates on calls from the UK to abroad, however much you top up

PAYG Vodafone are stopping free Messenger at the end of June so a good deal. They are charging £5 a month for it so for an extra £5 you get any of the above.
