Defaults listed on Equifax

err unexpected result Halifax called me today and agreed to remove ALL adverse data as after investigation they found that I should not have had the default OR any late payment marks on my credit file and gave me £50 for my trouble!

just waiting to see it happen in black and white but im so happy about it!

well received a letter + cheque today to state the default + 9 late payment markers are to be removed and to allow 28 days for it to reflect on my credit file, I am gobsmacked that they agreed to remove them, and I'm just as amazed at how fast they moved to get this sorted once I called them to complain at the lack of response to my letters, I have to say im impressed with Halifax now haha various people told me in the past (on the forum and friends) that this was a lost cause and would not get them removed! I had to try because I'm wanting to move house soon and this should also be resolved just in time for lloyds to cc me
