a spam section?

given that all discussions on benefits are removed from the benefits section and dumped in discussion time, and we have our resident daily mail subscribers flooding the board with the same old twaddle

how about a spam section where BG/admin can move these threads and those that are interested can go and find then there?

And have it where only the site Admin team can see it by giving them special permissions.

  • Hi custardy

Non-MoneySaving threads are kept to the non-MoneySaving boards ie Discussion Time and the Arms, whichever's more appropriate, in order to keep them off the main priority boards. In other words that's exactly why DT and the Arms were set up. If you see any on the Money boards please do report them.

    Thanks!

    Andrea :)

    thats the problem though
DT is rendered a near no go zone by trolls and AE's, posting what amounts to basically the contents of the Daily Mail site
  • I'm afraid we may end up going round in circles here custardy. :)

I know there's a large number of Discussion Time fans who spend most of their time on this site in DT debating with each other, are very protective of "their" board and don't want it "spoilt" but I'm afraid DT and the Arms were set up for exactly that - to put the non-MoneySaving debates and chat. If those type of threads are going to be posted on the forum at all we'd rather they go there than disturb the on-topic MoneySaving boards.

The only thing I can say is please do report the posts you feel disrupt it when you see them and then ignore.

    Andrea :)

and just because some people don't find some items interesting or worth reading-doesn't mean everyone shares that view. maybe some people who post DM stories only do this because DM readers are constantly slated. So maybe if people stop slating DM readers (remember be nice to all moneysavers etc etc) then maybe there may be less stuff posted win/win. :)

Im sure many (like myself) find they use those sections less and less because they are dominated by those very threads.
do you use the section? if so then Im sure you will see thats not really the reason those threads are posted
