coo - how many screens?!

On the basis of what?! Dual monitors and a TV? Whoa there, hold the front page! Talk about making assumptions. See, I'm normally fairly easy going but this always gets my goat, people shouting GEEK! and NERD! at the sight of a little bit of technology - as if enjoying games consoles was in some way a bad thing.
Looks like a small flat with someone working from home, graphics, programming - whatever and a few games consoles - clearly a hobby. Hardly reason to start calling he/she a 'lonely little geekling' is it.
Make sure you avoid offices, the amount of screens in there would blow your mind.
Assumptions made on the basis of the sheer volume of electronics, cabling, black goods, apparant lack of "normal" (note the quotes please) living. It's not that it's just untidy, it's the way in which the occupier is existing (over reliance on technology, lack of apparant food preparation, personal hygiene items in kitchen etc etc). For the record, I work in science, use a lot of equipment the power supply of which could keep a few dozen homes going, and am pleased to consider myself somewhat of a nerd (my avatar & signature may have been a hint). The term doesn't always have to have negative connotations you know!"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510 -
wouldnt you have moved the ironing board out of shot if you were taking the photos though!0

It's probably someone who works from home quite a bit and the agent probably let themselves in without notifying the tenant, hence the ironing-board in shot0

re: the shaver in the kitchen- maybe they dont have an electric point in the bathroom and its an electric only shaver?Who remembers when X Factor was just Roman suncream?0

So the person living in there gets cross examined for not being tidy, but also cross examined for not having food aparatus all over the place?
As for over reliance on technology. Damn. Theres hardly anything there. 2 monitors just makes sense half the time. And the consoles? Well somoene likes gaming.0 -
At least its given any potential burglars some ideas.0

Whoa, I don't think anyone on this thread is actually going to pop round and start interrogating the owner/occupier - I don't think it's that bad, it's just a bit odd that someone would agree to have photos like that put on RM (and if it is a BTL then the landlord must have agreed to those being used).Graham_Devon wrote: »As for over reliance on technology. My house is far worse... but I don't have photos up on RM trying to sell it.
