any idea how to get rid of tesco speed dial numbers?

For some reason tesco copy and display in the phone a number of quick dial numbers, some which cost 50p a minute+ to phone.
Any idea how I can get rid of these?
I have tried deleting from the sim, but repower the phone and these come back.
If my child has the phone, I do not want them calling directory enquiries or travel line etc., by accident. Sure they could dial the number themselves, but would need to know the number and of course I am not going to supply that or put it into their phone.
By placing the number on the phone it is inviting the user to make those calls without the bill payers permission.
I called the help desk and they said nothing could be done and we put them on any phone using a tesco sim. You agree to this when using our service.
Any suggestions, as I do not want an unexpected large bill.

These are hard-coded into the SIM and cannot be deleted. Most virtual networks do this, and the only way to avoid it is to change to a different provider, or model of phone that lets you customise the blocking of the SIM-stored numbers.0

They can be deleted, but you need a capable phone. If you have access to a WinMo phone, try and get SIM Manager on it, and that can sort them out,0

Thanks.
Found Sim Manger on Android, so hopefully the same thing.0
