Copper tape - does it work ?

What sort of glue do folks reckon would stick 1p and 2p pieces to plastic pots and plastic raised beds - I quite fancy this idea and reckon the slugs would be bamboozled by it!0

Sorry but that sounds an expensive method , copper tape or copper pipe is much cheaper .
If I had to do it , 'pink' grip etc ( like no more nails) in a cartridge would be my first thought .
Of course Araldite would work best , but the cost!"!!!!0 -
Thanks, will give that a go - got an old jar of coins, tonnes of the things, so it's easier to glue em on I reckon than to mess about lugging them into town over the space of a few weeks to try and get them bagged and converted for very little reward.0

Don't bother tried that last year as an alternative to copper tape.
New low wooden tub, filled with new compost from un opened bag, stuck my freshly washed 2ps all around it much to hubby's amusement and placed lettuce in the middle.
Went out at 10pm with torch..........plenty of slugs and snails munching the lettuce.
Copper tapes works well, and as someone else mentioned thin strips work fine as does the stuff from 99p store.
Crushed egg shells do work but had to get the layer to 4" wide and 2" deep which takes a lot of eggs........had to get neighbours to save me theirs too.
Vaseline on very thick also works but only if it doesn't rain and ladybirds got stuck in it, so stopped that one.
Copper pipe........does work but expensive unless you already have some.
Forgotten the name of the stuff hubby uses on the car....copper slip maybe? that didn't work.
They also go over my sharp gravel too.
Been me against them for 30 years and copper tape is my friend:D0 -
I wouldn't glue the 2ps down, just stick to tape, you probably wouldn't be able to bank them later otherwise so it would be expensive. I'm gonna do 2ps as i like the idea of it and my sister swore by it but here is a link for copper track for those that want it. Works out at 32p per metre incl delivery.

Edit: Please see ginvzt post below for even cheaper track!0 -
It works out cheaper here, as delivery is cheaper:

I used them last year - from what I remember, the item arrived quick, and was sticking well.Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -
Might save the coins for a decorative table or something then if the lil slimey blighters get past them then, thanks! Ours are particularly persistent once they spot a tasty snack.0
