Do you lose the HD on the 2nd TV , I mean does the quality revert back to normal?

Is there a video sender that is a good one to get with it , I have seen 'high frequency ' mentioned , no idea what that is.

There are basically 3 main types of videosender

1 2.4 GHz senders - these can be subject to interference from any wireless/WiFi devices in the house, microwave cookers and from people walking between transmitter and receiver and are medium quality SD only on second TV - prices start around £30
2 5.8 GHz senders - less subject to wireless/WiFi and microwave interference but can still suffer from people walking between transmitter and receiver and are medium quality SD only on second TV - prices slightly higher than 2.4 GHz senders
3 HD videosenders - reports are varied on whether and how well these work as they have only just appeared on the market - prices start at over £200 but give HD quality on second TV.
By medium quality SD I mean the quality is what you get from a composite video connection and not the higher quality from an RGB scart connection.

Whether any of these will work in your residence depends on its construction - whether you have thick stone walls, foil lined plasterboard etc. If you want HD quality on second TV then it would almost certainly be cheaper to fit an extra cable from your dish to the second room and buy another cheap HD freesat receiver. If you do decide to go the cheaper videosender route then I would suggest you purchase from somewhere like Argos whose returns policy allows return if it doesn't work at your place.

Step up in price though, so be prepared to pay more for the higher frequency one. Sensible to choose that though.

Keeping in mind before you go spending loads that you can have a Humax Foxsast HDR for £180, and a Freeview recorder for less, so you have to really want to watch the programmes recorded in your living room in your bedroom to spend too much on it...
