Our budget is £10k
We're doing a hell of a lot of it DIY and have haggled hard. If we paid for everything at full price i would imagine it would be closer to £17/18k.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0 -
Ours, which is getting really close now- eek!
is costing about £8.5k (with £2.5k total contribution from both sets of parents) and our honeymoon is £1.8k. For this we have exactly the wedding we want, we have made a lot of the things ourselves (when I say "we" I mean me
) and have got friends and family to offer their services for various things (hair, makeup, invites etc).
If we had had a budget of £21k we could maybe have spent up to £10k on the wedding but I honestly can't think what I would have spent a further £11k on! It would have just been "extras" as we have the venue and the numbers we wanted.

I have not done a budget. I think the biggest sole expense if the church wedding itself.0

Our budget costings were about £12k and I'm hoping to come in just under that, but we'll see!
That is for a church wedding with 90 guests, a marquee reception in my parents garden, canapes & sit down meal, welcome cocktail, free bar, an extra 60 guests in the evening with a hog roast for all and a band. Oh, and all the flowers/dresses/decorations/extra bits etc!!

Hi,
We are budgeting about 7K for ours & that includes the 2 weeks holiday accommodation in Rhodes & a 3 night stay in a posh hotel in lindos as a honeymoon. We think we will be on budget but as we are getting wed in Rhodes we don't know the true cost of some things until we meet with the planner in the winter, so just having to go with figures I've seen others say they have paid, but adding a little extra on top just in case. This does not include our spending money for the 2 weeks as we would have been having a holiday anyway so decided not to include it.Marrying the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :j0 -
My budget was £2,000, but thanks to some donations from family, we will actually spend around £2,800. Thats for a civil ceremony on a saturday and buffet for 125 people, and a chocolate fountain too.
Its been quite fun organising it all. I honestly don't know what I would do if I had £21k to play with!! I feel like we both have everything we want for our little budgetMarried my lobster in July 2011

ours is about £4500, and that includes the hag weekend and honeymoon.
It could have been a LOT more but we have worked really really hard to keep the costs down,
and thats with no contribution from anyone,
some of you are so lucky that your parents have "chipped in" with amounts that would more than cover our whole thing! I wish we were so blessed0 -
at the moment, our budget is sitting at 2200. it's NOT going going to be more than 3k!! (also, no honeymoon or contrib from parents...)RATFINK DAISIES!!!!0

We're hoping it will be around £7k (not inc honeymoon). That doesn't include the wedding album that his parents are buying. My mum hasn't offered & I ain't gonna ask!
That's for a 50 people sit down meal with drinks plus evening do & buffet for 80 (£3k). We haven't paid for anything yet, but our other £4k budgeted covers dj, dress, shoes, accessories, bridesmaids dresses, grooms suit plus 3xbest men suits, photographer, decorations for the room, extra booze, hotel for 2 nights, gifts for contributors, favours, invites, rings etc etc. I'm hoping it will come in cheaper as we're paying for it ourselves - but we'll see how I get on!
I can't imagine anyone on this forum admitting to paying £21k!
PS - I fully intend to sell centrepeices, dress etc on ebay/preloved after the event to get some of the cash back.Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93
