Yep, speak to your GP and speak to the DVLA. What meds do you take?

    I take Venlafaxine and Quetiapine

I know someone on quetiapine that is not able to drive, so although it is not an automatic exemption, it is certainly possible to qualify on those grounds.

I only know about MH meds, but definitely speak to your GP. Some LA's will accept a doctors letter in order to get a bus pass, but some will also require a DVLA letter.

I think the LA will accept a GP's letter so when I see him next I will ask him to write one about my MH medication and the risks of Hypo's because of my diabetes.

    Hi there

I used to work at Rushmoor and I think the issue is that the Government have reduced funding for free bas passes. When it came in, we were told that the costs would be met by central Govt but it soon became clear that the costs were huge in comparison to what they had anticipated and the LA are having to meet these. With the Government making in year cuts to LA grants for the first time ever, this has placed a large number of services in a very difficult situation.

If you are under 25, why not contact Hampshire Youth Bureau in Station Road for advice or perhaps CAB as to whether there are any other schemes in the Aldershot, Farnborough area.
I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.
